Red Dot Instructor

Description: This 3-Day (24 hr) course takes a principle based, performance driven approach to teaching the use of Red Dot equipped Pistols.

Using live-fire drills, an explanation of what to pay attention to in dry-fire, and teach backs, this course will you give the skills to analyze and improve your own shooting and help take you and your shooters to the next level.

Red Dot Instructor will give you the tools to help your shooters maximize their use of the RDS.

•    Pistol Mounted Optics Theory and Application
•    Mounting and Zero Procedures
•    Pistol Mounted Optics fundamentals
•    Pistol Mounted Optic Malfunctions and Troubleshooting
•    Speed and Accuracy
•    Vision in Shooting
•    Self-Diagnosis
•    Multiple Target Engagements

Required Equipment:
•    A pistol with a mounted optic
•    A belt mounted holster that covers the trigger and trigger guard
•    3 magazines for double stacked magazines or 5-7 for single stacked magazines
•    Magazine pouches for two magazines
•    1000 rounds of quality ammunition
•    10 dummy rounds
•    Eye and ear protection
•    Spare batteries and tools for optic
•    Weather appropriate clothing.
•    Note Taking Equipment and a positive attitude

This course is NOT appropriate for novice or beginner shooters. Students will be expected to understand and demonstrate competence in the safe handling and manipulation of their weapons.
